Fernando has over 40 years of experience in national and multinational companies in the industrial, telecommunications, metalworking and consulting sectors.

He began his professional career in Empresas CMPC as a ​​Process Engineer. Later, he occupied the positions of Superintendent of Production, Project Manager and Commercial Manager of the Paper Products Business Unit in Teknos Communications. Subsequently, he held the positions of Finance & Administration Manager and General Manager of Ferrocast, a company that supplies spare parts and wear material for the mining industry. During this period, he acquired a deep knowledge of practically all open and underground pit mining operations throughout the country and some in Canada. After this, he joined Empresas Terranova as Operations Manager and then General Manager of its subsidiary, Fibranova.

During the last 20 years, Fernando has been dedicated to leading and executing C-Level executive search processes as well as technical professionals for chemical companies, mining companies and mining suppliers, both local and international.

Fernando has led the Industry & Mining practice and has worked with companies such as Collahuasi, Xstrata Copper, Minera Isla Riesco, BHP Billiton, Minera Los Pelambres, Barrick, Kinross; mining suppliers such as P&H MinePro, FLSmidth, Finning South America, Bucyrus, Wassara, Elecmetal, engineering companies such as Bechtel, SNC-Lavalin and chemical companies such as Methanex, Occidental Chemical and Erco.

 

Fernando is an Industrial Civil Engineer from the University of Chile.
