During the last 14 years, Mario has been dedicated to leading both C-Level and board executive search processes in important local and international companies. He began his executive search career as a Partner of Spencer Stuart, where he created the financial practice in Chile and later, as Managing Partner of Heidrick & Struggles. In 2009 he founded  Equation Partners.

He has executed more than 500 searches in the areas of General Management, Operations and Technology, Human Resources, Finance, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Communications, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Management Control, Strategic Planning, E-commerce, Digital Channels, Management of Risks, Audit and Controller. His expertise is transversal to the financial, retail, mass consumption, energy, pharmaceutical, industrial and government sectors.

Before entering this industry, Mario worked 25 years in the financial sector. During his first 12 years in Citibank (Chile, Bolivia, Venezuela, Brazil and Mexico) in the wholesale banking business. Thn, between 1991 and 1994 he directed the operation of Private Banking Chase Manhattan Bank in Mexico. Then he was Latam Managing Director / Co Head of Private Banking at Chase Manhattan Bank, based in NY. In 1997 he joined Clariden Asset Management, NY (subsidiary of Credit Suisse) as President and CEO. In March 1999, he accepted the position of General Manager of Amex Bank Chile. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Chilean Banking Association (2000 - 2002) and the Board of the Santo Tomás Corporation (2005 - 2008).

Mario is a Commercial Engineer from the University of Chile.
